My name is Patrick Hellyer, a freelance videographer and photographer driven by a passion for visual storytelling and a commitment to doing the work right. Through my lens, I striveto capture not just moments, but the energy, emotion, and authenticity behind them.

I operate on a simple set of values: respect for the craft, respect for collaborators, and respect for people’s time. That philosophy has defined every project I’ve taken on and every relationship I’ve built in this industry. I’m easy to work with, highly communicative, and I bring genuine investment to everything I touch. I don’t just show up to do a job, I show up to make something worth remembering. 

 

Over the course of my freelance career, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse roster of clients including Hoop Group Basketball Circuit, NYvsNY Park Basketball League, University of South Carolina Athletics, NBA players Shariffe Cooper and Anthony Black, and basketball trainer Cameron Hoo, among others. These experiences have sharpened my ability to work in fast-paced, high-stakes environments where quality and timing matter.

Most recently, I served as the Intern Creative Lead for South Carolina Men’s Basketball, a role I am now stepping into full time. In this capacity, I am responsible for shaping the visual identity of one of college basketball’s most exciting programs from game-day

content to brand storytelling across all platforms.
